Braids and trims

Braids and trims are still very popular with fashion companies today and are used as decorative items in a wide variety of forms.
The main characteristic of braids is that they are made of warp and weft.
Natural fibers are often used in the warp.
For the weft, leonine yarns (metallic or metalized threads) or wires are mostly used.
Trims, on the other hand, are made from various spun materials on ribbon weaving machines and are mainly used as edging or decoration for fabric edges.
They can be colorfully patterned or even figuratively designed on a narrow band, which is made of yarns (cordonnets or twisted threads) with more or less openwork designs.
In our company, we can still produce these items on traditional ribbon looms and on modern, electronically controlled weaving machines.
