Grosgrain ribbons
Grosgrain ribbons
Grosgrain ribbons are textile products made in a "grosgrain weave."
Standard means 12 double wefts per centimeter, allowing for a moiré finish at any time.
We offer different qualities for various uses.
We refer to a light quality, a standard quality, and a heavy quality.
Additionally, we can produce other weft counts, especially with grosgrain ribbons for small rosettes or other awards, where we can work with up to 18 double wefts per centimeter.
The variety of grosgrain ribbons is limitless. Most often, the ribbons have vertical stripes or are solid-colored.
In special cases, angles, crowns, diagonal weaves, and similar patterns can be produced from the different qualities.
The commonly used materials are artificial silk, which can also be varied with metallic bronze, silver, or gold stripes, making award ribbons for the fire department, armed forces, and similar official agencies.
Cotton grosgrain ribbons are certainly possible but have a much duller appearance compared to artificial silk and are therefore relatively rare for service awards.
