Soutache and Bouritache

Soutache is a braided cord used for trimming purposes in the textile industry.
The Bouritache, which has an integrated seam on the back, is somewhat more challenging to work with due to this feature.
It is better suited for making trims, laces, or similar decorations.
To produce Soutache or Bouritache in various styles, we have different bobbin machines in our facility with varying numbers of spooling points per head.
These range from 17, 19, 21, or 23 bobbins per head.
A special variant is the double soutache with 38 bobbins.
The materials we use mainly include artificial silk, rayon, foil yarns, gold-plated yarns, as well as cotton.
Of course, it is also possible to braid Soutache from polyester or polyamide materials.
However, these are not particularly relevant for the decorative design of uniforms.
National inclusions are possible at any time.
This typically means that we can incorporate the national colors of, for example, Ecuador or Colombia, or create different ranks for fire departments in this way.
Soutache and Bouritache are mainly used for epaulettes, shoulder braids, and laces.
