Yarns and embroidery materials

Metallic spun threads, where a finely drawn metal wire is wound around a core thread made of cotton, silk, or synthetic fibers in tight coils to increase strength.
The following types of yarns are distinguished:
Brilliant yarn: The winding metal wire allows the core yarn to shine through.
Ondé: Using a crimped metal wire creates a wavy winding.
Frisé: Corkscrew-like winding
Diamanté: Pearled winding
Bouillon: Created by spiral winding of finely drawn metal wire (spiral wire)
