Cap straps

Cap straps are made from leather or alternative materials and are adorned with braids.
The braids can have various color combinations or be solid-colored.
In modern police forces, retroreflective films are now used instead of braids.
The colors and national patterns usually indicate affiliation with a specific rank group.
Typically, the cap straps have four tips.
There are also variants with only two tips.
Most cap straps have metal eyelets, allowing them to be attached to the cap using so-called cap split buttons.
