Cords in general

Lacings are traditionally products that were used on uniforms during the imperial era.
They are still worn very often today.
Student fraternities have adopted some elements of these lacings, but they are much more colorful.
They are usually made in the colors of the student fraternity.
The purpose of the cords is key.
Whistle cords are usually very simple and made from round cord with a carabiner attached.
The aiguillettes that adorn a high-quality uniform consist of multiple braided strands and loops. Sometimes, a metal tip is even sewn onto the end of the aiguillette.
