Epaulettes
Epaulettes
Epaulettes are shoulder pieces worn on a uniform.
Generally, an epaulette is much more elaborately crafted.
Epaulettes usually have a crescent shape, which distinguishes them from shoulder straps, shoulder pieces, or shoulder braids.
The base material we use for your epaulettes is cloth.
It is a high-quality woven textile construction that has proven itself over many years.
We then sew braids of all kinds onto this cloth according to your specifications.
For particularly high-quality epaulettes, braids are sometimes replaced by braids woven directly onto the tongue of the epaulette.
Most epaulettes are adorned with fringes.
As these are high-quality products, epaulettes with bullion fringes or very thick, approximately 7 mm thick bullion cords are standard.
Here, you can generally choose between silver and gold.
The shape of the epaulette often has a historical origin.
We offer some standard shapes, but you can also get custom-made epaulettes with an extra-long tongue or in a special width.
The production of epaulettes involves pure handcraft.
For this, you receive an artistically crafted product.
Occasionally, it is necessary to slide a passante, a kind of loop, over the tongue.
Of course, you can also get this variant from us.
The epaulettes we produce are not only worn during carnival but also in historical theater productions.
We supply to the French Foreign Legion, and epaulettes are still used in the military and police in South America, influenced by German traditions from the imperial era.
Our most recent challenge in this area was the Swedish royal wedding on June 19, 2010, where we had the honor of supplying very artistic and elaborate epaulettes for the royal event.
