Fringes

Fringes are mainly used for the embellishment and decoration of swallow's nests, artistically crafted flags and pennants, ornate epaulettes, and tassels for sashes.
The fringe is produced on a twisting fringe machine, where the stalk is twisted until it reaches the right length.
For cut fringes, the double length of the fringes is made, and the cordonette used for the fringe stalk is cut in the middle.
This means that the cut edge of the cut fringes remains open.
The crucial element in the fringe is the gimp, which is necessary to integrate the fringes with the respective textile.
We can also produce the classic gimp, which is particularly suitable for use with high-quality flags, music stand cloths, epaulettes, and similar products.
The materials we use for the production of fringes range from polyester, cotton, viscose, foil yarns, and even to the finely gold-plated or silver-plated copper wires.
Attaching fringes for epaulettes is especially labor-intensive.
Here, the individual stalks are hand-twisted onto wire or thread.
The individual stalks are then woven together into a bouillon fringe.
